Pros

I enjoyed my co-workers and the overall work environments.

Cons

The benefits provided were not particularly exceptional and if you use your personal vehicle for county business and are in an accident, you have to use your insurance.

Pros

Once you're past the probationary period, there's a good bit of job security and benefits. You can leave work at work so it doesn't interfere with your personal life.

Cons

There are lots of departments, but not many opportunities for promotions unless you switch to a completely different department. Morale is low and many employees are not proud to be Richland County employees. And the pay is horrible.
