Pros

Work from home, unlimited PTO

Cons

I was very optimistic when I started here, was hired with a huge group of people and another large group was hired just a month later. We were all laid off 5 months later with no notice along with what sounds like hundreds of others. Very, very bad management and even worse sales team that simply weren’t selling, probably a lack of leadership there as well. From the top down this place was a mess. My direct boss was amazing as were my colleagues, but upper management is non-existent and there are constant changes. The CEO had a health situation and dipped out weeks before the layoff and never even addressed us himself (he sent a video after his health scare letting us know he would be taking 8 weeks off and we were all laid off 3 weeks later).

Pros

- There are good people across teams here who are willing to pitch in and help you get your work done. - Remote-friendly

Cons

- Priorities are constantly shifting, which makes it hard to make progress on anything. One minute, the most important stategic objective is one thing; the next it's another. So you're constantly shifting to something else - The People Team will always have your manager's back, and is not interested in helping you. If you have a manager like mine, that means your concerns will not be heard and you will be let go. I raised concerns about some inappropriate behavior from my manager, and they were ignored. I was told they were simply my "opinions," even though I had ample documentation, meeting recordings, etc. supporting my claims. - There's a lot of redundancy across teams, and it's not clear what the overall product strategy is right now, beyond throwing a bunch of stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks.

Pros

- Mission-driven company with an opportunity to impact real lives. We're truly making a difference in worker's lives. We're not doing something that makes people's lives marginally better — we're doing things that MASSIVELY impact livelihoods. - Being successful could mean dramatically changing the trajectory of the declining blue-collar - So much opportunity and low hanging fruit now that company is getting past M&A debt (see cons below) - People here care — I think other reviewers have made that out to be a negative, but ideas are debated, and people are passionate about getting to the right outcome for the workers - Trajectory – just raised another $300 million at an increased valuation despite a pandemic that should have had a significant negative impact on the business. The company now has the tailwinds and past M&A complexity to be successful.

Cons

M&A Debt - Series of acquisitions leading up to Covid did help the business from a diversification standpoint (and really is setting up the future success) but also burden it. - We added a ton of complexity at the same point as a hiring freeze due to Covid uncertainty. The burden that was put on folks was real, but we're finally getting past that.
