Outlook doesn't look good.

Pros

When talking about the mission and goal of the company, things seem really positive. RigUp Training is a great idea and could really differentiate us. But we aren't even doing a lot of what we do right now well. We launch products that aren't ready and we have no real ability to sell. But the talk of the vision is good.

Cons

If you were one of the first 50 employees or somehow make it into the "popular group", your career will go well. It's a very fraternity culture. Your career is largely impacted if you aren't friends with the right people. Growing too fast to be able to handle. Leadership seems to have no idea what's going on. But don't worry, we will hit our number by just buying other companies since we can't figure out what we're doing. There is no transparency. It often feels like something is happening that only those that know the right people know. Departments do not work well together. The CEO will trash talk other staffing firms (because ultimately that's what RigUp is) and their leaders in public slack channels. That's extremely unprofessional and he doesn't realize it.

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. As the organization has grown, we are certainly aware of these types of growing pains and aim to make sure that our vision is clear and all employees feel bought in. This feedback is helpful as we develop our strategies moving forward. If you're comfortable, I'd definitely recommend reaching out to the People/Talent team to discuss further. Thanks again.

Pros

Operationally the company is a mess so looking at the opportunity with a glass half full there is a lot of potential to make improvements.

Cons

Well I was laid off after 5 months. Seems incredibly careless as an organization to go on a hiring spree, freeze hiring then have a considerable lay off. The company has so many issues in how everything runs, just a total lack of processes and good practices that puts a strain on anyone from ops to data and engineering. I think a lot of that was honestly swept out when they decided to separate from a number of their businesses (kudos to them) but the broader trend that should not be ignored is how the company arrived to this position in the first place. They clearly make poor decisions. A lot of churn across the company, likely due to the aforementioned disorganization, and no CFO which is always a head scratcher when a company is that size (another sign). The tech is on it's third iteration from what I know, seems they have had to recently start over which makes sense with how poorly everything is run. They are nowhere near an IPO if they ever even need/want to. They would need to correct a lot operationally, much of it I doubt they could given the relationships to the workers and clients.

We sincerely appreciate you providing us with this constructive feedback. We understand your frustration around changes in our organizational structure. We are taking the difficult but necessary steps to align our strategy closer to the needs of our workers and clients. Unfortunately, this required us to restructure our company to support our future strategy. We truly wish you the best next step in your career. If you have any further thoughts, please email wehearyou@workrise.com.

Pros

Xuan and Witte are passionate

Cons

Its not good. Bro culture is very real and politics are everywhere. no accountability for poor decisions or failure to execute, no real ownership of your work.
