Pros

- The size and startup type environment gives space to make a real impact. - There is no limit to the impact you can make, regardless of your role. - The business depends on Product and Engineering Delivery in 2022/23. There has been a monumental shift in 'technology driven' being words only, into September 22 when actions are being taken. We’re proud of what we delivered in 22, and it’ll get better in 2023. - Technical leadership in Belfast. The right balance between support, autonomy, and keeping everyone 'between the hedges'. This wasn't always the case when we were bigger. - No them and us culture between Belfast and Austin. We are one team, our org structure ensures that. But there is space for our local cultures. Good people are good people regardless of location. - Engineering leadership care about their people, invest in them and invest in building the culture we want. I feel supported and heard every day. We are not the same company locally (or overall ) that we were mid-2022; Smaller, mightier, and moving in the right direction.

Cons

- Workrise hasn't always got it right. And it was painful. Other reviews reflect the mood earlier in the year. - Exec leadership team didn't have the right mix of voices. That team has evolved, the people have learned and grown, pulled together for a common goal. - Layoffs are the most unpleasant thing to endure, and harder for those that left us. There’s no painless way to do this. But not uncommon in today’s world. - We are a start up. Things change and you have to be able to work with it. It drives you crazy some days. You're either able to adjust to the pace and change at a startup, or you're not. It's not for everyone. We try, we fail and learn, we try again. - We lost good engineers in Belfast as part of all the change and tough parts of 2022, and we wobbled for a while as a result. I miss those guys. However, groups lift and shift in Belfast. It's not uncommon if you've been around for a while. We're smaller now, but growing again.

Pros

Just over the year mark of being a 'Riser', and what an adventure it has been. The company has gone through a lot of changes but at its core is still a company that keeps to its values, despite the uncertainty going on in the world of technology. The team is a real mix of folks some who've been here forever, working alongside new team members (like me) But we all have a voice in Workrise, that allows us to bring our own experience and expertise to the table from which we can all learn from. It makes us better and creates a really vibrant working environment - Excellent modern Tech stack and tools - Team members who put solutions before egos and have your back - Chance to make impactful changes to our technology and culture - Learning time each week!! - Fantastic Offices and hardware - Texas BBQ ?

Cons

There's no getting away from it, we grow fast so things change a lot. This can create ambiguity and uncertainty that isn't for everyone.
