Pros

- It was formerly the people in lower to middle management roles; they have left - Unlimited PTO - Tremendous learning opportunities when working within a poorly run company - If you have entrepreneurial aspirations, you can gain a lot of confidence in your own ability and potential knowing that Workrise managed to secure a $2.9bn valuation as a tech company without tech

Cons

- Shotgun blast approach to decision making since the company's founding has led to a disjointed mess of systems, strategies, and employees, all of which change often - There is no product. This is not a tech company. This is an oil & gas staffing company, at best a "tech-enabled" staffing company; that tech is Google Sheets and a smattering of Tableau - This company was founded and funded on narrative, and it is extremely challenging to work for a VC-backed company whose investors are realizing that a narrative will not generate a return while in the late stages of ownership. - This company has been in existence for 8 years and is seemingly moving backwards, struggling to survive, and hemorrhaging talent

Pros

Good benefits and nice office Friendly teammates

Cons

Horrible leadership with an inability to make decisions. Constant direction changes based on no data or logic. Leadership is not transparent about company’s real status. Or they aren’t even aware of what is going on themselves. Most leaders at the company are trying to protect their own status and position. They don’t have any interest, time or energy to nurture people below them. Work becomes a ladder-climbing game instead of building a good user experience or product. People exploit office politics to climb. Some people advance to positions they are unqualified for; solely based on political relationships.
