Pros

Nice Culture good Benefits Time Off

Cons

I had a very bad experience with the Chicago Tech team. they want to bring in professionals to "build modern practices" but all you are doing is maintaining because that means more billable hours. From a engineering prospective, developers are in charge at Rightpoint, if you are in Security or Ops this is a place to chill and do the same work everyday, great for people that want to retire but if you are building your careers don't go there.

Pros

RP has/had some amazing talent. Work from home life is awesome.

Cons

I have had the privilege of working with some exceptionally talented individuals at RP; however, I have observed a concerning trend in recent times. The company has experienced layoffs, and the treatment of employees has left a significant impact on our workforce. In my department alone, we have seen a 50% reduction in staff, and there is a consistent stream of departures every week. This situation has led to an overwhelming increase in workload for those who remain. I believe it is important to emphasize that employees should not bear the brunt of the company's mistakes and shortcomings. It is crucial that RP takes the necessary steps to either hire the right individuals or appropriately address the existing workforce's needs. In terms of compensation, I have found the pay at RP to be somewhat modest. During my initial year, I dedicated myself to my work and was fortunate to earn a promotion. However, the raise that accompanied this promotion was quite minimal. Over time, I have realized that if one remains with RP for an extended period, it becomes increasingly challenging to maintain financial stability due to stagnant pay and the impact of inflation. I have also noticed that there is limited room for negotiation when it comes to salary increases. This, in turn, can lead to employees feeling undervalued and unappreciated for their hard work and dedication. When I first joined RP, I was filled with enthusiasm and optimism about the opportunities for growth and advancement. However, over time, my perspective has evolved. I believe that, for personal and professional growth, it may be more advantageous to explore other career opportunities outside of RP.

Pros

-Smart colleagues and talented people. -Initially interesting work on a few projects. -Remote working (but got old after awhile).

Cons

-Incompetent leadership who don’t understand how profit margins work. -Inability to grow business because they’ve invested too heavily in sales positions and fired the creators of the work. -Lack of innovative thinking, often offering templated solutions to problems that require a completely different approach. -Some major narcissistic personality types that let their egos drag the company down.
