Pros

Good introduction to large corporate systems, good site experience, friendly people, good work/life balance and rosters.

Cons

Was initially offered graduate role, but due to budget cuts, many of the graduate positions were scrapped.

Pros

Reasonable compensation, huge 401k program, ESPP program, nearly annual raises, annual bonuses, interesting work and industry.

Cons

Short-sighted management at Rio Tinto. Too many "superstars" are given all the opportunities and are not held accountable for the outcomes of their decisions but are moved on to bigger and better things before they have to face the problem(s).
