Pros

The product is a good products

Cons

Cons: • Inadequate and unstructured training program • Management demonstrates unprofessional behavior • Toxic work environment • Non-standard business travel practices • Dismissive attitude toward industry experience and education • Poor onboarding process Review: I joined Rippling Travel with 10 years of industry experience and formal education in Event, Convention, and Tourism Management. My experience was unfortunately very disappointing and short-lived. The training program was severely lacking and did not align with industry standards. Despite my extensive background, I was only included in 4-5 meetings total before termination. During the very first meeting, my direct supervisor made negative assumptions about my potential performance before I had any opportunity to demonstrate my capabilities. The workplace culture was concerning. My attempts to provide feedback on industry-standard practices were met with hostility. Questions asked during training were viewed negatively rather than as engagement in the learning process. Colleagues were dismissive of formal education in the field, creating an uncomfortable work environment. Management was casual to the point of unprofessionalism. Despite having limited interaction opportunities, I was criticized for "not engaging with peers" while simultaneously being dismissed when attempting to contribute to professional discussions. The company's business travel practices deviated significantly from industry standards, and any attempt to provide constructive feedback based on experience was unwelcome.

Pros

-nothing compared to any other company. -Pay is the same as other companies, not worth it

Cons

Working at Rippling is working in 24/7 chaos where the only endgame is pointing the finger at someone else to finally do the bare minimum, because you have 20 other colleagues, leaders, and customers pointing their finger at you and you need to keep moving before you dig too big of a hole and implode. The culture is a nonexistent machine that leaves no one time for anything. No time to eat lunch, no time to check in with friends and colleagues, and no time to satisfactorily complete a task. There is no start or end to the work day and working on the weekends is normal. Slack messages and emails are going all hours of the day and you are expected to respond within seconds. Colleagues get pinged while on pto, colleagues continue to work while sick. 10,12,15 hour days are normal like everyone is brainwashed and because everyone is so focused on not drowning in their own tasks, no one is able to express concern, struggle, or take a minute to ask for help and breathe. They will sell you on the IPO payout AFTER you accept the job to make you stay. Mental, physical, and social health went out the window a long time ago just to fight through everyday and everyone makes you feel so lucky for working at Rippling that that is enough justification to do 3 days worth of work everyday.

Pros

Rippling’s product is fantastic, and you’ll know how good it is if you’ve used other products Has opportunity to grow your career if you work like 15 hours a day or if you’re good at politics (so at least it’s an opportunity for people who want to grow fast) Overall compensation package (including RSUs) is decent

Cons

Unfortunately, Rippling has a lot of cons from both startups and large companies’ side. On one hand, Rippling has passed the startup phase based on the number of employees that it has, but it still functions as a startup company: crazy working hours (12 hours a day is standard) with no WLB, literally no benefits, no clear career growth path as everyone cares about KPIs and growth, no process on a lot of things, the leadership team thinks that they know all the details, so micro-manage everything, and they don’t trust the talents that they hired. On the other hand, Rippling started to hire high level positions from large companies, and these people are just so good at politics, so politics are everywhere even if you’re not on the senior leadership teams.
