Pros
If you're looking for a fast pace environment and opportunity to grow your career, Rippling is an incredible company to learn more about and consider. Many start-ups will sell you on all of the things you want to hear about a fast-growing tech start-up, but don't actually deliver typically because they are lacking in one or more key areas of the business. With how quickly Rippling's product evolves and iterates on itself, how quickly we break into different markets, how well the product works for so many different industries, and how the product is completely disrupting the HR+IT space, there is never a dull moment. I was promoted to a leadership role from an individual contributor role and learned how to sell into a completely new buyer persona in less than a year, which only helps my career when I think about the next 2-5 years and where I want to get to. The cross-collaboration between departments is awesome which adds to the learning -- Marketing collaborates with Engineers who collaborate with Sales who collaborates with our Leadership team and so on and so forth. There is no finger pointing, everyone is in it together which is also something I lacked working at previous tech companies in SF. I've worked at a number of companies that have talked about unicorn status and being on a rocket ship, Rippling doesn't have to talk about it, we're just doing it, and it is so fun to be apart of.
Cons
It's a grind, and can take its toll working long hours every week. There is definitely a learning curve to making sure you don't burn out and finding a balance of working hard and knowing when to take a day off.
