Pros

I literally do not enjoy any aspect of my job here at rite aid.

Cons

Corporate keeps getting larger, while store level staff is shrinking. Payroll is non existent in most stores. They continue to add more and more work to the stores while reducing the available help. When I started with Rite Aid, every store had a manager, key supervisor, photo tech, cashier and a floor clerk on at all times. Stores are lucky to have a manager and a cashier, if that. Most stores have managers working several hours by themselves.

Pros

Direct pharmacist/manager is awesome! Does his best to get his techs close to 40 hrs a week and work with our schedules when needed. Fellow coworkers are like family. Nexgen is the best and easiest pharmacy system. My training has been great.

Cons

Corporate keeps cutting hours. Now the hours are cut so bad that we barely can make it to 30 hrs a week(25-28hrs). We atleast need four people in our pharmacy at a time excluding the pharmacists to keep up with the workflow, but now it's only two. The main tech and the second tech who deals mostly with customers. We also have a nonstop drive thru! Now the second tech have to juggle customers in store and drive thru, order put up, call list, filling partials and return to stock. My pay has not increased like it was suppose to moving from cashier to pharmacy technician. I am still making the bare minimum wage with all the extra work! No care or consideration for employees. Now i'm looking a tech job elsewhere.
