Pros

Love customers and associates overall.

Cons

Upper management (district) was not helpful at all. Had to always figure out things on my own cause didn't have any insight or advice from upper management.

Pros

Management experience in retail, if you don't have any and looking to learn to move forward in the world of management.

Cons

Not enough training, expected to do too much while other employees slack off and do nothing.

Pros

Employees have a common enemy so there is a strong sense of unity with in the stores. I have always loved and cared for my coworkers. We take pride in our work despite being underpaid.

Cons

There are many reasons NOT to work at Rite Aid. I was a shift supervisor at Rite Aid for over 2 years, with 7 years of customer service experience. I was paid less than 10$ per hour, which is grossly less than what competitors such as Walgreens and CVS pay their employees. Heck. Way less than what I would make if I worked at McDonalds or ChikFilA as a supervisor in the same area. I've worked in two different districts during my time at Rite Aid and both operated on corruption. My last manager should of been fired for incompetence but since the higher ups ignored proper procedures to fire him they just transferred him to another store to destroy. Oh and did I mention he was buddy buddy with the DM? The DMs seem to turn a blind eye to all their buddy managers running the stores; whether it be incompetence, fraud, theft, giving them green scores when the true score are red. No matter how hard you labor, no matter how honest and dedicated you are to the company you will be underpaid and unappreciated.
