Pros

Nexgen computer system excellent. Good pay and benefits. Lots of opportunity to learn.

Cons

On feet 13 hours. How they can get away with terminating a pharmacist with many years experience that has sacrificed, gone more than the extra mile, great reviews, did flu shots and MTM? Getting written up for minor offenses like not taking out the trash? How can my district manager get away with ignoring emaIls and messages and then ask for proof of it? Long-time dedicated professionals are just thrown away in the trash to make room for the new grads.

Pros

Easy job, freedom over your store for the most part, fairly easy to move up the ladder

Cons

I was fired for a mistake that someone else made with no notice. Breaking a policy that was not written in the handbook and was encouraged by several store managers. Cranky and sick customers every day

Pros

Easy to transfer to a different location

Cons

Upper management has no clue! Stores are dirty, not up to par with CVS and Walgreens, Lack of help and payroll hours. Pharmacy staff is usually not on the same page as the store staff causing confrontation and stress. No such thing as a Manager when you are the only person you are managing most the time, I love how the company is in turmoil yet the CEO Stanley gave himself a 5 million dollar raise. Rite Aid is the worst job I have ever had and would not recommend anyone working there, it'll be short lived.
