Pros

Great co-workers, good scheduling of hours.

Cons

No incentives for the employees, no recognition for the employees except a piece of paper, lack of respect from Corporate and upper management, expensive benefits, breaks are not permitted (only a 30 minute, even on 10-12 hour days).

Pros

Challenging position and a great place to gain experience in pressure situations . Good pay and benefits comparable to other drug store chains . Excellent dispensing software .

Cons

Working conditions often stressful due to high volume and under staffing due to budget restraints . Not always easy to get a position in the area you would prefer to work in .

Pros

The job itself is cool - filling prescriptions, data entry, solving patient problems. It's very satisfying when you help a customer and they're appreciative of the lengths you went to.

Cons

Not very flexible because it's still retail. Patients can be very demanding and feel very entitled. They consider the pharmacy to be an extension of the store and fail to give the same respect they give to the doctor.
