Pros

Always something to do Good place to move up if motivated Easy to get recognized A good resume builder Good experience to climb the ladder elsewhere My current DM started as an associate because its easy to network within the company thanks to the emails provided to management

Cons

Exhausting working on sales floor requires you to be cashier, stocker, planner, janitor. The higher rank demands more from DMs to Managers to supervisors which push associates out. Corporate is very contradicting wanting good service while scheduling few associates, which always leads to long lines, unhappy cashiers and results in bad reputation

Pros

Autonomy to make decisions! Salary, Stock profit sharing and bonuses are great! Upper management is progressive and listens to field. Remodeled stores look awesome! They still have secretaries!

Cons

If your boss grew up in this Company and have limited perspective, be careful! Very tenured group of field leaders don't like external hires Stores do not have enough labor!
