Pros

The company provides a lot of opportunities to advance in a variety of departments. No experience necessary to work in customer service department. Easy to stand out due to high turnover and low standards.

Cons

Mindless/Mind-numbing work. Low pay. You are micro-managed to the minute, but being in a call-center that isn't too unexpected. I mentioned the opportunities for advancement, but in this department the ceiling is very low. Leaving this department/building is the only way to advance within the company. The on-the-job training is worthless, to be kind. Your new hire training isn't handled by HR trainers, but instead it is developed and delivered by other "seasoned" representatives in the department. Representatives are not all treated equally by leadership. The majority of the department's leadership team is comprised of people who have been here longest, not exactly one's who are good at what they do. At Rite Aid, it's not "what" you know but "who" you know.

Pros

Flexible, advancement opportunities, decent benefits, able to transfer to multiple locations

Cons

Pay unfortunately in regards to pay Rite Aid is very top heavy corporate members make an astonishing amount of money which includes company cars and a lot of out of state travel for training and meetings. This doesn't translate well to the lower tier of employees store managers at certain stores can make decent money but Assistant managers and shift supervisors do not get the compensation they deserve.

Pros

Customers were great, Management way okay, always had enough tech help to keep customers happy.

Cons

Rite Aid was always in a money bind, owed billions of dollars so no funds for store remodel, ran pharmacy 23 years, increased business every year but the store was run down, wanted drive tru but no money D@W next door put pharmacy in with drive thru that started right in front of the Rite Aid. My business still increased but I lost all my handicap business, plus lost mothers with sick childred business,
