Pros

The company is constantly training employees in best practices and the employees are the best in the hospitality industry. You can always count on other departments to get things done and get them done right. There is some room for advancement. The pay can be higher than other hotels and bonus structure is good.

Cons

In order to move up, you often need to move to another property, which is usually in another city. Work-life balance is not the best. Minimum 10 hour days for managers with little flexibility for personal commitments. Lots of early mornings, late nights, and weekend work. Heavy work load for events and often very stressful. Lots of unnecessary paperwork.

Pros

good benefits, decent wage, pleasant work environment, willingness to see employees succeed. flexible scheduling and plenty of overtime.

Cons

Depending on the manager, some managers are better than others. Sometimes staff can feel policed and like if they don't drink the kool-aid they aren't really valued or taken seriously.
