I really enjoyed working for The Ritz-Carlton. The culture is professional, kind, and world class. Our motto is "We are ladies and gentlemen serving ladies and gentlemen." I still live by that to this day.

Cons

A con is the promotional structure of having to wait to move on to another position/department within the company being six months. There may be a position come available you are qualified for within four months and you are not able to take advantage of that.

Pros

Working in a professional and positive environment. Great benefits and team leaders. Lateral service is always encouraged and available for those who want it. It really is, overall, an amazing company to work for. Being a hostess is a ton of fun. You are encouraged to engage with guests and you can have some great conversations.

Cons

The only downside is also a perk, long hours. They expect dedication from each and every employee and if you deliver you will always receive appreciation. As a hostess you are always standing so wear comfortable shoes. It is an easy, but stressful position. You have to maintain the happiness of our guests and our coworkers.

Exciting and busy job, always meeting /seeing new people.

Cons

Working every weekend and holiday. Pay check different every time, very hard to base a lifestyle like that.
