Great place to slow your career

Pros

Culture at the junior level is more fun. Great way to distract from big issues. A good place to step down from those burned out from big accounting firms.

Cons

Retention of good people is low, sub-par employees are high. Compensation is low when Directors can not sell, which is often depending on the office. The "growing pains" others refer to appear a constant theme, even when there is no growth.

Pros

If you are looking for a place with a good work/life balance, this could be a good place to work. To echo a previous review, be cautious of the "positive" reviews posted from Dec 2015 - Today.

Cons

Pay - Its been noted before, but compensation is based on utilization. Low utilization leads to lower pay. Often utilization is beyond your control and you will remain on the bench for months. Many report utilization well below 50%. Benefits - 401K is pitiful, Vacation is not paid at full hourly rate and only given a few days, Health Benefits are inexpensive, but pretty poor.

Thank you for your feedback. The Riveron Executive team evaluates benefit offerings annually to provide the best healthcare options for our employees. While the cost of healthcare continues to rise, Riveron believes in minimizing that impact to our employees. We continue to offer rich ‘employee only’ medical and dental coverage that is free of charge, and contribute more than the national average towards medical and dental coverage for families. The Firm absorbed 99% of the premium renewal increase during the 2015-2016 plan year, passing on just a $5 increase to our employees. The Riveron medical plans include a traditional PPO with a national network, and a non-high deductible health plan, with the option of a Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to help employees with health care related expenses and their annual deductible. In today’s market, many employers are forgoing a 401(k) employee match, however Riveron implemented a matching program in 2015, and have continued to match per our policy for employee contributions. We believe in the financial and medical well-being of our employees and their families and have programs in place like an Employee Assistance Program that echoes this belief. Riveron's Executive Team has an open door policy and welcomes feedback from employees at any time. If you have concerns, please contact Human Resources at humanresources@riveronconsutling.com.
