learned a lot from LVN to RN; level II trauma center. MICU is not an easy unit

retirement not well established, no pension. politics. the computer system is ancient.

EXCELLENT benefits available. Good food served in cafeteria. A large number of volunteers helping.

Cons

Employees have a cut-throat attitude due to being micro-managed, additional duties and responsibilities, and lack of respect from management. This hospital is extremely top-heavy with Managers and Senior Management employees. You have to be accepted by certain employees to survive...there are very click-ie groups composed of employees protected by management.

Pays well, but all money ain't good money!!

Cons

Huge turnover, especially in the emergency area. They had a awesome gal there that worked hard but she left. Since her, Mgmt is awful.
