Pros

-It mission to the the poor and people who are underserved medically. The community (local) traditionally has had a positive attachment to hospital, though that connection has weakened.

Cons

-No longer run like a non-profit, very physician centered, administration no longer interested in providing a great environment to work. Think of the air traffic controller's strike at the start of the 80's and the effect that had on employee and employer relations, a similair thing has happen at Riverside.

Pros

Work from home, easy to get time off when needed, overtime usually available.

Cons

When suggestions were made on how to improve productivity and efficiency they were ignored. Improve as in cut the time needed to do the job in HALF. Silliness.

Pros

Training/orientation adequate and thorough. Management is very helpful

Cons

Back biting and cattiness with other nurses. The job is hard enough as is and is very unnecessary. Also some favoritism and unprofessional behavior goes on
