Pros

The employees are down to earth, hard working people.

Cons

Executive leadership that doesn't take the time to learn the industry. They manage the business as if it was from the same industry they came from which was polar opposite to the Road Construction business. They like to manage from the Ivory Tower and rarely if at all get out to meet the employees at all levels/departments, to learn what they do, how they do it, and seek real feedback.

Company overall had a good work life balance, employees with a lot of experience will offer any type of assistance or support needed to help.

Cons

Constant bid and on work each year. Very dependent on sub contracts which last a few years/months and all the work dries up and jobs are eliminated. Lot of relatives and family members. Lots of lay -off and rehires
