      Staunch, old-school company trying to pick up the pace

      Pros

      Company is (these days) not afraid to take risks or try new technology approaches. Whether these are management drivers or simply better, nimble access to tech solutions, I'm not certain. Better in terms of politics than ages past.

      Cons

      Poor management abounds in IT; slackers can coast for years here nicely! Poor communication about career opportunities, even internally.

      Pros

      Their best perk is their CTO or Choice Time Off program.

      Cons

      Organization is very top heavy. Not uncommon to have 5 layers of management for 10 employees. Hugely expensive and unnecessary. Also, they just wiped out the annual bonus program for non-management employees. This is a billion dollar company with no debt. I guess these needs more money.
