      Office Team - take your chances.

      Pros

      Temporary office assignments available sometimes.

      Cons

      Post fake jobs on the internet and in newspapers. Don't return your calls. Lie to you about what assignments are available. Keep you working on assignments that you don't like by telling you nothing else is available. Unhelpful in general. Revolving door - your HR person may be gone next week and they never tell you.

      Pros

      Great place to figure out what you want to do. It is fairly easy to transfer to other departments and work in other jobs after your initial one year probationary period. There is also a lot of food around in case you get hungry or forget your lunch.

      Cons

      It is fairly hard to get promoted. Promotions are heavily weighted on tenure making it difficult to advance despite holding superior skills. In addition, how well the company is doing is largely dependent on the US economy. That is, during recessionary periods the company will not do as well resulting in lay-offs, low or no bonuses, low or no raises, etc. Work can also be long if working in the Pleasanton Corporate office.

      Pros

      Robert Half has a great atmosphere for anyone who is in their early to mid twenties to work in. They are a fun group and like to work hard and have fun together. If you're starting out they will teach you everything you need to know, corporate training is excellent, and development of sales talent is top notch.

      Cons

      The compensation structure is arcane and incredibly difficult to figure out. The prevailing attitude is what have you done for me in the last 10 minutes... yesterdays success is acient history. The idustry is predatory by nature and you are encouraged to fight it out with everyone including your coworkers for survival.
