      Great people to work with, not a great place to work for.

      Pros

      The very best colleagues to work with. Genuinely want students to be successful. Many valuable collaborations and relationships built here.

      Cons

      Not valued by the Board of Trustees. Students are green $$$ while faculty are red marks to their bottom line.

      Working with people and helping them to figure out career goals and building their livelihood

      Cons

      The program was federally funded and the uncertainty of job stability was a bit overwhelming.

      Pros

      Friendly coworkers. Good benefits, but I hear insurance premiums have gone up since I left.

      Cons

      They seem to care about their employees anymore. The only time staff have gotten raises in the past 7 years is when they significantly increase employee's insurance portion. Even if you get a higher education they won't give you a chance in another position. Compensation not that good.
