Business Outlook
Pros
Beautiful location with an enclosed campus. Grad students are able to live either on campus or very close by for substantially below market price, which makes living on the stipend affordable. Top notch science is being done in most labs. People tend to be very friendly if sometimes a bit antisocial.
Cons
Depending on the lab, work life balance can range from good to terrible. Lack of structure sometimes makes it difficult to find out who to contact about issues. Occassionally seems like departments do not communicate much.
