In response to your comment regarding remuneration, the entire company recently underwent a review process, evaluating employees’ pay, both against market data as well to their peers based on skills, position requirements and experience. We are sorry to hear that your expectations are not being met and encourage you to discuss your concerns with your manager and/or the People & Culture team. Pros

Great mission. Cool business. Opportunities for growth, good middle management on most teams. Awesome, talented coworkers. Culture has historically been good. Learn something new every day

Cons

HR (and finance?) are quickly destroying culture and morale. They don't seem to care about employees more than as numbers on a page. They're not trying to build a culture or support system. It's ironic that the department is called "people and culture" instead of "HR" because they couldn't be less of the modern employee-friendly organization that they're trying to depict. "National donut day" and "National root beer float day" and holiday gift baskets do not make a culture; How you treat employees does.

Pros

Snacks bar, free coffee and some cool stuff to learn. Pay is not bad depending on your team and title!

Cons

If you enjoy life and actually want to spend time with you family, don’t work for this place! No WFH, no work-life balance & work is demanding. Unrealistic expectations of employees as well as schedule goals. Culture has turned into an “everyone for themself” type of mentality rather than working as a team to meet company goals specially between NZ and US teams. Majority of projects are late from the beginning. There are high levels of organizational chaos/uncertainty where the turnover is severe and important people disappear very shortly. Overall, I'd say that it's a very young organization chocked full of super intelligent, idealistic young people. 90% of the workforce are brand-new graduates, no senior workers. These graduates have an eagerness to prove themselves but don’t have a lot of experience which consequently company takes full advantage of, so they can pay them however low they want, work them as many hours as they want 10-12+ hr days, and when they get burnt out, welcome in the new fresh meat. There is a severe lack of engineering wisdom that comes with experience. Results: High turnover rate. The average tenure of an employee is 1-2 years, which means you are constantly trying to get your pers and coworkers up to speed only to watch them leave. Last to add, Training is nonexistent! The way they operate is if you’re smart enough to get a job in Space industry, you’re smart enough to figure it out.
