Pros

Very bright group of scientists doing great science

Cons

In my opinion, poor leadership and toxic culture. Extremely disorganized, and scattered. There are a core of friends and family in almost no-show roles, who are the face of the company, then there are those who do all of the work. Holidays and vacation days are, in actuality considered to be remote work days, there is no respect for personal life or family, nights and weekends are work time. Not family-friendly.

Pros

There are no good reasons to work here

Cons

1. COO is incompetent, instills fear into employees to accomplish tasks, inability to listen to feedback, micromanager, lacks understanding of drug development process 2. Work culture does not foster growth, development, leadership and trust in its employees to perform at his/her job 3. Leadership is dictated by one person (COO) who is incapable of making fair and realistic decisions 4. No career development 5. Employees work hard with no rewards

Toxic work culture and favoritism

Pros

The company’s mission is commendable, as it focuses on rare diseases and the use of innovative gene therapies. It ventures into areas that many other companies shy away from.

Cons

The work culture here is highly toxic, with an expectation of long hours and inadequate compensation. Advancement seems more dependent on favoritism from management than on actual contributions or performance. If you’re looking to move up, aligning yourself with management is more important than adding real value to the company. Leadership is disorganized, frequently forgetting critical project details and causing inefficiency. When things go wrong, they tend to shift blame rather than take accountability.
