Overworked Long hours ( 7:00 am - 5:00 pm) No work life balance Large classes Humanities teachers teach up to sixty students, STEM teachers teach up to 100 students Culture of work is life High turnover in teaching and administration If you don't teach exactly according to the script it'll effect how you are reviewed Students spend a lot of their day on computers

Easy street once you get past officer level. Some nice flexible work arrangementst if your job qualifies.

Cons

Pay for senior associate and junior associate is practically the same and starting salaries have been going down for the last few years. It is an employers market but it has been frustrating to many and upper level belt tightening has not been as evident.
