Pros

Friendly work culture, everyone is always willing to help Good medical benefits Employes are empowered to make decisions, so the opportunity to learn is vast Learning resources like online training materials and sponsored instructor led trainings are plentifully available.

Cons

Compensation is not very competitive Don't do a lot for employee retention. Performance bonus is quite small No sign on bonus Work load is demanding which does not fit the pay.

Pros

- Exposure to industry standard products -Deep automation knowledgebase readily accessible -Opportunities to work on various technical applications

Cons

-Still very much a good 'ole boys core with a "open to new ideas" facade. -Veryyyy middle management-heavy.... everyone is so terrified of being wrong that they pad the middle so it looks like "everyone is right". -There is a general superiority complex in the air as if each employee is the embodiment of an industry standard label like A-B. These are the same people that are promoted ad-nauseum in pursuit of "building a career" versus being valuable to anyone but themselves. Sometimes, half of their week is booked up, with Career Discussions being the culprit. -If you aren't white (or male), chances are they want you (that is not a compliment concerning your abilities, rather a symbolic victory over you as paternalism further widens the gap between manager and worker, decent human and decent human). - The Systems & Solutions Business (SSB) is where most of the application talent is, too bad you have to get out of SSB and go to another business unit to make market average pay or receive fringe benefits such as tuition reimbursement (which nearly all other RA groups approve without forcing you to write and present a 3-page justification to three separate people who already know it's been denied). Other business groups outside of SSB also don't wait for an employee to put an envelope at the receptionist's desk, soliciting $5 donations per employee so a new microwave can be purchased for the breakroom. I'm surprised SSB doesn't charge you for parking in the lot or using the restrooms. I left a few years ago when other companies offered me around $20k more than what I was making (and SSB offered to pony up $5k to counter that, hah) so it is possible in 2022 that they are charging for parking and using the restrooms. If there ever was an award for cheapest business unit in all of recorded commerce... SSB would would rank 2nd right behind the Quality Department at the Yugo factory in the 80's. -They don't serve salsa for breakfast anymore. (I suspect SSB shot this down)
