Pros
The pay was pretty good. My take home was around $1200 a week working 50-60 hours a week. 70 a few times. Didn’t utilize the benefits. I worked between 6 plants. Some plants were great others were junk. The CEO is down to earth and will talk to you no matter what position you are. He started from the bottom too I believe. Pros isn’t really there.
Cons
I seen guys working up to 18 hour days and right back the next morning. I worked till 3am once. One of their crane operators will start pulling leavers without getting signals because he thinks he can get a head pulley out when you’re 60’ up in a man lift with your hands in the way. There’s definitely lots of snakes in the grass. I would name them here but I’m not. Some of the men I worked with are solid guys. They work hard but are getting burnt out. Safety is a big deal but if they like you and you violate a safety rule they will just say “bad boy” and leave it at that. If they don’t like you they won’t hesitate to terminate you. If you speak up you’ll get on the bad sides of upper area management. Lots of brown nosing.
