Pros

* Faced paced environment, fast decisions and always moving/learning * Pays a decent salary and bonuses for performance * Inclusive of different cultures/sexual orientation/genders * Lots of activities going on internally, including annual off-sites for staff * Engineers are pretty intelligent and keen to share what they know * Good CTPO - fast thinker, listens and is always looking for ways to improve the team

Cons

* Work/life balance is not great, often overworked to the point of burnout for oftentimes little recognition. * Some people promoted too early and not great leaders - often favouritism and ego plays a part here, not purely merit and makes for difficult working circumstances. * Middle management a bit junior in terms of technical delivery experience and overwhelmingly dominated by a management consulting culture. * CEO still pretty hands on and seemingly struggles to let go and push decision making and trust down to his CTPO. Often means he steers most things in Product and everyone scutters to seek the CEO's approval instead of embracing a culture of bottom up autonomy and experimentation. Leaves a lot of people demotivated and scared to fail.

Thank you for your feedback. We agree on all your thoughts about our pros and we will strive to ensure that they continue and that we foster the people and team you mention. We are a fast-paced growing business which can mean longer hours at some points during the year or while working on certain projects. We provide a robust PTO package to ensure employees take time-off to support work and life balance. We note your opinion regarding management and areas you recommend developing, we have great leaders and we are investing heavily in Learning and Development to support them. We want our employees to learn the skills needed as they climb the ladder or level up where required, to ensure our people are set up for success and their teams get the support and guidance they need. Over the last couple of months we have also invested significantly in the product team to provide an even better experience. We have increased the size of the team by ~30% to better manage workload, as well as supplemented the talented team we have today with additional product and people leadership skills and experience. We agree being proactive is the best approach across all our endeavours and will enact this moving forward. We wish you all the best in your future ventures.
