Stabled Company, No Growth Opportunities

Pros

Rollins is a stabled company and is great if you’re ready for retirement and not really looking for anything challenging.

Cons

There are very little to no growth opportunities and once you’re in a position, you’re basically confined to it. Your options are either move to a different department, if applicable, or leave the company. Many talented people chose the latter for better opportunities. The company is heavily male dominated and women are often overlooked. Managers do show favoritism and tend to promote ‘friends’ rather than people who are more than deserving of promotions.

It is unfortunate to hear that you felt like Rollins is a company that does not challenge you and that you felt like there were no growth opportunities. Career advancements can sometimes also come in the form of other assignments or roles designed to either broaden or specialize your skills. Rollins is a company that very much so promotes from within and encourages continuing education and/or training to grow your skill set. It is recommended that you to have regular conversations with your manager regarding your career goals and aspirations and map out together any education and/or training that will aid in your progression.
