Spectacular compensation. Great benefits. Beautiful offices. Partners and associates congenial and cooperative.

Cons

Dismal business management . Factions at war with one another seeking to consolidate power and influence. resulting in massive failures and losses that are routinely hidden from disinterested partners. Highly stressful environment (and I came from the financial services sector). Let's just say I never needed my health insurance benefits until I worked at Ropes & Gray, and haven't needed them again since I quit.

Good pay and benefits. Good people.

Cons

Too much office politics. Higher-ups BSing the rest of us. Chaotic environment. No one is happy there. The blame gets passed down, not up. Ridiculous procedures implement without thought to how they'll actually work when used.
