No engineering processes, Sales drives everything. There is a very "just get it done" attitude here which ignores all the processes that are set in place by the parent company. There's things we do here that would never slide if Rosenbauer international in Austria knew about it.
No clear directions at all for engineering. We tend to just do anything and everything. I've had to deal with vendors for getting quotes on parts and had no approval from my superiors on budget or pricing. To me this seems like something a designer shouldn't be involved in at all. They have me doing sales and purchasing work for the parts we design.
I'm not a fan of the mandatory overtime this company expects of you to grow in the company. I've been denied a promotion because I wasn't coming in work beyond 40 hours. I also don't like the hours that engineering has to come in. 6am is not a good start time for office employees.
Rosenbauer has a very unprofessional office environment and is a very toxic workplace. If you are friends with management you can do whatever you want. The employees here swear and complain aloud in the office for everyone to hear and management doesn't care, sometimes they will even join in on the conversation. This is a daily occurrence and it makes it seem like a very unprofessional environment when people can just do whatever they want. This lowers morale and work ethic for everyone.
