Pros

Rosetta Stone has had a long history of employing some truly excellent technical staff. The rank and file staff have, for the most part, been some very intelligent and fun to work with folks who have managed to build some great products despite the efforts of upper management to undermine their success.

Cons

Rosetta Stone was a company that started on a great idea and built some great products based on this. Unfortunately, upper management became resigned to merely repackaging the same product over and over after their version 3 release in 2007. Efforts after this involved thrashing around without ever coming up with a new product vision and shelving a large portion of the efforts of product development staff.

Pros

It's pretty cool to say you work for Rosetta Stone. Lots of interest and buzz in the market due to the recent IPO. Its a relatively young company that's fast moving and you will never be bored. Good perks and great office environments. Your peers and direct managers are generally good/skilled people to work with.

Cons

Highly dependent on the division, however in general its a high time investment job, high stress, and very chaotic - Strategy and planning is poor and decision making is immature. Communication between departments is unstructured and contributes to the above. Compensation is slightly below industry average.
