Pros

Great experience to learn the fundamentals of buying, come in with a cohort of interns which is fun to meet new people.

Cons

Your experience really depends on your boss and buying area. Some areas have more friendly and supportive people than others, but overall a good experience.

Pros

It is infact a job. If you have good coworkers it can be enjoyable sometimes.

Cons

Your hours will be extremely inconsistent and oftentimes low or nonexistent regardless of performance, attitude, or availability. Corporate will nitpick every aspect of the store and its workflow to the point of extreme micromanaging by direct management, and you will be overworked, underpaid and unhappy.
