Pros

Awesome co-workers. Some nice customers.

Cons

Everything else about Ross is a con. The company cares nothing about their employees or their customers. There is NEVER enough payroll to run the store properly. Pissed off customers and pissed off employees on a daily basis is a recipe for disaster, but Ross doesn't care. We employees are just a number and replaceable and if they loose three customers but gain five they consider that win. Turnover is a big red flag and I have never seen more than at Ross. Three store managers, eight area supervisors and countless associates is a good indicator of how bad this company is to work for. So if you love constant stress, aggravation, being yelled at by customers because the fitting rooms are closed and there are no cashiers, a messy store and getting no hours then Ross is the place is for you. If not then GO ANYWHERE ELSE.

Toxic Work Environment

Pros

Good insurance, good discount 20% and then doubles to 40% at least 3 times a year for employee appreciation week, paid maternity leave if full time, you acrue vacation and sick time very quickly and they like to promote within the company

Cons

Toxic work environment, provide very minimal payroll so there are never enough associates scheduled for the work load, unrealistic expectations for getting work done and expect you to do the work of multiple people in the same amount of time

Pros

Good bonuses, nice discount, fun employees

Cons

Upper management who treats you like you’re less than. Payroll, not enough to run an effective business. Unrealistic expectations of Ross processes. Micro managed. Employee compensation is laughable in certain high cost of living environments.
