There are many cons. As a sales rep with over 25 years experience, I have never been micro-managed but you should expect it with Roth Staffing. They have their thumb over your activities each minute of each day. They should Have trust in their employees and I’m sure they would see a difference in performance, but unfortunately, they only care about the money, not the employee. Secondarily, they supposedly live by their Mission, Vision, Value statements but I experienced otherwise when I had to take time off because my 85 year old mother had to have emergency surgery. After Being denied for FMLA, I informed my manager that I needed to take additional time off, and I understood it would be unpaid. A week later, I received an email stating as of that day, my employment had voluntary been terminated due to me “supposedly” abandoning my position. I had remained in contact with my manager, and was never given options as to how much time I could take off before they terminated my position. I was greatly disappointed as to how they handled the situation, and it became crystal clear to me that they couldn’t give two hoots about their employees. I was dispensable, despite the fact that I was exceeding my goals. After being let go by an email, I received a text from my market manager that I could not clean my desk out or come to the office because they would do it for me. I had not done anything wrong, but I felt as if they were treating me like I had done something ethically wrong. I’m guilty of loving my mom, and being there for her after her surgery and stroke. Thirdly, my second month there, I witnessed a senior executive employee yelling and belittling an employee (who had been with the company over 25 years) in front of the entire branch. There was no professionalism. Fourthly, the day I received the call from my mom’s surgeon telling me that my 85 year old mother was going into emergency surgery, I was extremely worried and upset, so I removed myself from the office to gain my composure. I was shocked after being confronted by the same senior executive (mentioned above that belittled a tenured employee) telling me in a very harsh tone that I was creating drama. No compassion! I could continue to list many more cons, such as favoritism amongst senior managers and certain branch employees, but I will leave this as a warning that if you are looking for a company that cares about you as an employee, this is not the place for you.
