"The Best Place to Work" - Specialist

Pros

It's a great place to work! If you believe in and are aligned to our values of Honesty, Ethics, and Integrity you fit right in. Leadership is caring and I feel like they genuinely are interested in my growth. I imagine anyone who says it's not or "It's the Worse Place to Work" probably lacked one of the above values or maybe they didn't perform to the standard our company holds, that's just my assumption. There is diversity, passion, and top talent here and it's great to be aligned to a company like ours.

Cons

When you work for a company voted one of the Best Places to Work the standard is very high and you may get some people who's standards are not in line with that.

Pros

Upper Management seems to be very caring and organized. Just wish they looked a bit closer at people in important positions in the different markets.

Cons

The favoritism is out of control in Woodland Hills, CA. If you don't speak Spanish, don't expect to feel like you fit in. Rules are different for everyone. If Management spent less time Micro Managing everyone it may feel more cohesive. Everyone is afraid of her wrath. I've been in Staffing for many years and this was really the worst experience of my life. Live and learn.

Run like a cult

Pros

Compensation is good for the industry. Nice having salary, when most in the industry do not provide salaries.

Cons

Management runs the organization like a cult. Repeating the mission, vision and values on a regular basis felt very cult-like. There is an open door policy, but truly it is not open door. If you bring up anything negative, you might be on your way out the door. Exercise caution when deciding on this company. The money is great, but eventually everyone figures out that there is something just not right at the company.

Thank you for the honest feedback. You are absolutely right ... if the Values and core philosophies of the company do not resonate with you or spark something for you personally, you will certainly feel out of place. Business leaders have always said that best places to work are "weird." There is something very unique about the soul of a great company that will either draw a person in or make someone who is not aligned with the culture feel very out of place. After all, the first four letters of "CULTure" are... . We certainly feel disheartened that you felt trepidation in expressing feedback. We try to offer as many anonymous opportunities to make suggestions. But, truly, some of our most successful leaders started in entry level positions and had a history of bringing up opportunities for us to improve. "Constructive" feedback is MOST welcome at Roth Staffing.
