Many bad apples, hand full of good ones
Pros
If you have a good management, it can be awesome to work there. It can help you multitask and deal with some pressure. Sometimes the tips are good, depends on the customer. It's an easy enough job to learn and start out with.
Cons
If you have bad management, it can be a nightmare and push you away. My current management is one of those. They will talk behind your back while praising you to your face. In some cases, like those who've quit recently, they will complain despite all the hard work you put in. They will not train you on much of anything and throw you into the busy shift. They have laughed in my face when I bring up a legitimate issue/concern that involves the health of customers i.e. employees/management not washing hands after performing a dirty task. Refusing to wear masks while still being required too due to the pandemic. You will be made to serve expired food with visibly bad parts removed. I have many horror stories that I will refrain from posting, some of them are very recent. You will not have a voice no matter how long you have worked there. The reimbursement for our store is low when we are driving 6 miles 1 way to get to a customer all because it was more than the average originally.
