A good place to work

Pros

People here have been courteous and respectful. I have opportunities to learn and grow my skills along with the org. I felt the compensation and benefits presented were fair, and I felt I was treated fairly during the interview process.

Cons

Nothing has come to mind yet. If it does, I'll certainly update my review. It's an open office plan, without even cubicles. If that's not your thing maybe that is a drawback

Pros

- Dogs at work make for a positive work environment, and remove some of the stress of working at a fast-paced startup. - Fellow employees are all-stars. - Concern of health and sanity of employees has improved vastly since I started working here. - Social events (happy hours, etc..) are a lot of fun. - Opportunity for the ambitious to move up in the company - Executives walk around the office, and if you have a question for one, you can easily walk over and ask.

Cons

- A pay cut for working at a new and small company - 401k matching and other potential work-benefits are not yet available, as the company is still developing. - Synergy between teams is an area that could be improved.

Not your typical company (in a good way)

Pros

--Passionate, talented people --Culture of transparency. If something's not working, you can speak up, and management will listen. --Growing quickly --Dogs in the office! --One work from home day a week --Dedicated to gender equality in the workplace --People here care about what they're doing. For real. --If you have a great manager (which I do), you'll get the time and support you need to explore a skill-set outside of your daily role.

Cons

--Communication between teams isn't scaling with the company. --Health insurance is better than it used to be, but PTO isn't great and we don't have separate sick leave. --The office itself is a little drab and depressing, especially the conference rooms. The nation's largest network of pet sitters and dog walkers could use a facelift. --If you change teams, don't expect to get equal pay with others on your new team. This is for companies everywhere, but more transparency about pay will help promote equality between team members.
