One of the best places to work for. Very family oriented and everyone cares for one another. Ops always looks out for the best interest of the EMTs.

Cons

Low pay like every EMS job but that's nothing we don't know about.

Pros

- The coworkers and management here are fantastic- it's rare to find an EMS job where the supervisors and managers are sincerely invested in you and want to see you succeed. Put in the work and it'll pay off. - Great, knowledgeable partners to work with. I've learned most of what I know as an EMT from partners who were (or nearly) done with medic or RN programs. - Tons of overtime available if you want it. - Supervisors and management are super approachable & listen to suggestions willingly. - You'll find a greater diversity of BLS calls here than at any other BLS ambulance company. Royal does IFT, but I've had more than my fair share of 911-worthy code 2s as well. You'll really get an opportunity to hone your assessment skills & learn tons. - It's a great way to get into EMS (or any healthcare job). You'll get an enormous exposure to not only EMS career options but other healthcare paths as well- medic, PA, RN, RT, MD... you name it- someone here is going for it. I've worked at other BLS ambulance companies and Royal by far is my favorite.

Cons

- The pay, but that goes for any BLS company. Overtime is where it's at for sure.
