We are very sorry to hear that you clearly perceived to have had a negative experience during your time with us. This is not something that we are used to, as per all the feedback we receive, including the other reviews on here, your experience seems unique and uncommon. Unfortunately due to your lack of detail, we can't tell what exactly went wrong and why you feel this way. We would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you directly to get a better understanding of what may have occurred, how this made you feel and ideally be able to talk this through. We pride ourselves on our engaging culture, focus on our people and always putting the needs of our team members first..if that is not how you felt, we sincerely would like to better understand your perspective, and what caused this misalignment. If you would be willing to share more, please email eve.grau@royalambulance,com our VP of HR to schedule a call. Our goal is to have a meaningful conversation and to help resolve any hard feelings you may have towards our organization or our Leaders, especially since we are not clear as to what may have occurred to make any of our team members feel this way. Thank you.

Pros

Royal Ambulance is absolutely the best private ambulance companies in to work for in the Bay Area. The company is growing rapidly while others have shuttered down and lost contracts. Why? The management and operations team at Royal works hard to make sure that customers, patients, and their employees are happy. For employees, the supervisors' doors are always open for work and/or personal problems. Throughout the years, I have met numerous people within the company who are compassionate, empathetic, and dedicated to excellent patient care. Royal is a great place to start if you are fresh out of EMT school and want to advance into fire, nursing, PA, or law enforcement. It was truly hard to leave an amazing company and I would not have left if I didn't have to for personal reasons.

Cons

Scheduling was difficult at times, especially when I needed to change my permanent shifts. However, I believe it's improved recently.

Pros

*Great community among coworkers, and that's no accident -- management puts alot of effort into work comraderie by throwing parties, providing lunches, and recognizing achievements. *Schedulers are very much willing to work with your school schedule, etc. *Supervisors are all friendly, down-to-earth people, and will hook you up with letters of recommendation for paramedic school. They want to see you succeed! *We do Code 2s and even occasional Code 3s. This is NOT an IFT-only company like Pro-transport.

Cons

*Right now there is a slight shortage of EMTs, so it's hard to get your shifts covered if you need a last minute day off.
