Great Healthcare Experience

Pros

You get to really interact with patients and understand how they feel collectively. Being able to treat and care for patients not only by taking physical assessments but through interaction alone is an experience one shouldn't forget. Having the ability to carefully listen and communicate with patients in their time of need is much as care as taking vitals and performing interventions.

Cons

Dispatch and EMT miscommunication and current models for FTO training have fallen out of place since I first started out. Professionalism felt it was lacking in some cases with newly hired EMTs when interacting or talking with patients, patient representatives, and facility staff.
