Pros

-Well-managed organization with good training programs - Some of the nicest people I've ever worked with - Very supportive and very positive work environment - Fully understand that public accounting isn't for most people. They do not try to give you a hard time/kick you out of public accounting if they don't like your speed of career progression and/or aren't working 70-90 hours per week during busy seasons to please them. As long as you are nice, have a positive attitude and are willing to help out wherever, they really appreciate it. The firm does not seem to have an "up or out" or "cut-throat" environment like you might find at other public accounting firms. However, in order to progress and impress higher ups, there is potentially big sacrifice to health working in public accounting.

Cons

Organization has a St. Louis/Midwest-based work culture, which is very different than the work culture found in most workplaces in Colorado. This difference is very apparent from some of the company practices on Day 1, when visiting St Louis for trainings and/or working on a project with St Louis office based employees. The ideal candidate to succeed here is probably someone either from the Midwest, who went to college in the Midwest and/or is willing to work tail off to connect and please the right people for the weekly staff meetings/stand out overall.
