Pros
Did you know that if you try to make it easier for a struggling butterfly to escape its cocoon, you'll render it completely unable to fly? It’s true, and I think it’s true of more than just butterflies. I only start this review off with a random fact, because I believe it’s pertinent to understanding the environment here at Russ Hadick & Associates. If anyone seems aloof or unhelpful, it’s not coming from a place of wanting to see anyone struggle, but from a recognition that it’s only through personal struggle that any of us truly learns. If everything is always done for you and your questions are always answered, you’ll never internalize the information for yourself. Entitled, participation-trophy types rarely last long here, but if you’re the right kind of person that shouldn’t scare you off. Employees who are passionate, self-motivated, and relentless excel at the firm, while the rest either plateau or get the boot.
Cons
It can be frustrating when the wrong kind of person slips through the cracks. People who want to sit idly by on top of an airplane instead of growing their own wings and learning to fly like the butterfly just aren’t the kind of people we need, and it throws off the entire dynamic until they’re gone.
