Pros

The salary and benefits are decent for a fresh graduate. But the time wasted here easily offsets that.

Cons

Having Management Trainees is a very innovative idea, however the environment we are expected to work in cannot and will not accept us . My own service manager hired me because corporate required him to do so but while I was working in the shop I received no support or direction from him. The shop had a union, old boys club mentality that bullied the existing supervisor, so imagine what it would be like to put a early 20s graduate as their boss? There was also a prevalent "pass the buck" mentality where nobody wanted to take responsibility for the errors they committed. Hazing was also displayed in the form of social ostracization and yelling among other forms of mistreatment. Workers are frequently burnt out and turnover is high as well.

OK if you are one of the chosen few

Pros

Good benefits once you make it into a management position. Lower grades are less competitive with the local market. A good place to start out if you are young and don't have any commitments.

Cons

Very poor work/life balance. Not unusual to be working a 60hr+ week. This Company can take over your life and isn't recommended if you want to balance family commitments. You have to really push for development opportunities as they are often given to the chosen few. Too many people involved in decision making means it's really hard to get anything done.
