Pros

The salary is definitely a plus, the experience that you gain with the company in logistics is a plus for future jobs.

Cons

The atmosphere is horrible, if you enjoy working in an oven then this is the place for you. Even working in the office the temperature is a constant 80 degrees with NO airflow, and when the A/C is blowing it is only blowing mold and dust. Management does not respect the employees, Ryder employees themselves are treated horribly by GM employees.

The pros for me have to be the fact that I only worked 4 days a week, Tue - Fri, and the compensation is decent, not great, just decent. California drivers will start at $16.00 (class B) and $18.00 (class A).

Cons

You will work 14 hours per day, no if's and's, or but's about it. They will run you ragged. Dispatch always loses our time sheets almost daily, so there are times where you don't get paid on time. The account managers expect you to do their jobs for them. If you need anything, don't count on it being fulfilled. I never received new uniforms either, instead I had to purchase my own.
