Pros

Pay, benefits, respectful and understanding dispatchers. Management will back drivers if you do your job.

Cons

Delivery locations. The dedicated (building materials) account which I was on required ample route planning due to up start locations. Management/dispatcher could communicate with customers to get better directions.

Large company with access to many resources. They often pool resources from several accounts to problem solve.

Cons

Middle Management lacks transparency and integrity. They are slow to adapt to new practices and technologies. They tend to lead "by their gut" rather than making business decisions based on the data. I have also seen situations where key metrics were modified to stay out of the red.
