Pros

Ryder is a nationwide company with alot of opportunity for advancement. Multiple division allow for exploration of various components of the trucking industry including maintenance, sales, operations, and clerical and driver positions. The health insurance coverage is a good value. The employee discount for the stock purchase plan is very good. Ongoing training was provided and helpful.

Cons

Because Ryder is a large nationwide company there is a lot of bureaucratic red tape. Ryder has a very complicated commission compensation structure for commission sales employees. The customer relationship management software is also very outdated and the deal structure is overly complex.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re glad to hear you appreciate the salary and flexible hours. However, we take concerns about the work environment very seriously. Everyone deserves a fair and respectful workplace, and we encourage employees to report any issues so they can be properly addressed. Your feedback on performance evaluations is also valuable, and we appreciate your honesty. We will make sure it gets escalated to the correct resources.

Pros

Good overtime pay and you get good pay for on call as well. If you are starting after college and need some corporate experience its a good place. Also a great career enhancement if you like sales ortherwise you dont have enough opportunities in Canada.

Cons

Work is too stressfull and pay is very less in terms of the job pressure and work ethic. Pay should be double for this role due to the amount of work handled and the amount of money a branch makes in a month. The salary is less than 0.0001% of the monthly profit made by a Business unit in a month.
